Here’s what I’ve been creating and sharing this week. It’s all free to access and share, if you’d like to support my work you can do so via Patreon, by sharing my resources with your network or booking me to speak.
WATCH: Raising Assertive Children
In this video, I unlock a treasure trove of practical tools to help children master the art of assertiveness. From dynamic role-playing activities to the empowering "I Statements" technique, we'll explore a toolkit designed to enhance kids' communication, self-advocacy, and self-esteem.
LISTEN: Adult-Child Relationships
In this episode of the Pooky Ponders Podcast, I explore how we can maintain a positive, loving, supportive relationship with a child who becomes emotionally distant or pushes us away.
PRESENT: Anxiety in Class
Slides and resources from a session which provided a range of practical strategies for supporting students with anxiety in the classroom.

DOWNLOAD: Energy Accounting Worksheet
This resource is a simple way to do basic energy accounting with children. This is concept where we notice the things that boost our energy and the things that drain it and we try to keep it in balance. Whilst this is helpful for everyone, this is especially helpful for children for whom this can prove more challenging such as those who are neurodivergent or living with chronic health conditions.
READ: Safeguarding Autistic Girls
“Providing professionals with access to safeguarding strategies that are straightforward to implement and highly effective, this is essential reading for everyone who wants to better understand the challenges faced by this vulnerable group, and ensure they have access to the same opportunities to secure a good education and build safe and happy relationships as their peers.”
EXPLAINER: Autistic Strengths
In my latest Twitter thread, I explore the unique strengths that autistic people (myself included) bring to relationships, workplaces, and communities. From intense focus to creative problem-solving, let’s celebrate the diversity and value we contribute.
(You can also read it on Facebook, LinkedIn or Threads)
SMILE: The Silliest Selfie
I spoke alongside Prof Zachary Walker for the first time this week. I loved his talk which was light hearted and accessible despite being steeped in research, but it was the face he pulled in this selfie that convinced me we’re going to get on very well indeed. Hilarious.
